12. The Belated Wednesday: Gray, Blue, White... Relax!

Greetings readers!

You'd think with being laid off, I'd have more time in the day, right?! Once again, a belated post... oy! Sorry, folks.

Yesterday (Wednesday) was very go, go, go! Throughout the majority of the day, I kept thinking, "What am I going to blog tonight?" I have to admit, this blog is helping me cope, more than I could have ever thought. As you all know, Tuesday was a rough day, but I put it behind me yesterday, or tried to, and went back to extreme application hunting. My dad had to bring my Papa to see my mom at work, so he asked me if I wanted to go for a ride. Why not, eh? I get to see both my Nana and Papa... AND then I had an excuse to try an outfit! I found this outfit a few weeks ago and have been looking for some place to where it. This outfit is very relaxed and perfect for kicking around.
The Inspiration.
How cute is this outfit? A gray cardigan, a white tee, blue jeans (literally) cuffed, and comfy sneakers. It's a perfect on-the-go attire.
The Pinspiration.
My shoes are a bit more eccentric than hers. *Fun fact: On my "What I want to buy when I have a job" Word document, Converse/All Stars/ Chuck Taylors are on the list.* I'm definitely going to revisit this outfit when I get the proper footwear. :)

As you'll soon come to know, I like to dress outside of the box. Patterns, one-of-a-kind prints, etc. excite me! These bold looks don't help with my fear of someone recognizing me in an outfit (I know this is an irrational fear and I've tried to move on, but it's not happening any time soon), but sometimes you need bold. This outfit was one of them, yes the pants may be a loud color, but a little subtle flowered print on my cream shirt isn't going to reduce the noise factor by any means; in fact, the flowered print will probably help it all blend.
The Pinspirable look (Part 2).
See! I don't think the flowered trim on the shirt is all that bold.

While posting these pictures, I just realized the inspiration photo features the girl with her hair up, in a ponytail, and off to the side. Apparently, great minds think alike! I swear, I didn't notice this till now- haha! **If you want to know how to achieve this scrunched ponytail look, just let me know. Maybe I'll do a tutorial!**
The Pinspirable look (Part 3).
Oh, and check out the earrings! My mom got me these for Christmas and I've been itching to wear them and today's outfit was perfect. I went to college in Newport, Rhode Island. Rhode Island has always been very near and dear to mine and my mom's heart, hence the Newport map earrings. They're fun, light, and super comfy! And... Green Envy (where they were purchased) is an entirely eco-friendly store!

Cream 3/4 sleeved shirt: $30 Banana Republic (circa 2006)
