4. The Stripes and The Wings
Greetings readers!
First off, Happy Birthday Dad! :) Sorry, Notre Dame lost. :(
So earlier today, I was running around like a nut trying to get dressed, prep myself, and talk on the phone; needless to say, multitasking was not my strong suit today, which is quite the disappointment, for it usually is. My best-friend called me just to chat and she probably only heard panic and heaving in response. Prepping for interviews is not fun, especially phone interviews. Oof. Through some heavy breaths, "I have to find my scarf," came out and my friend just laughed, "If it's a phone interview, why do you need your scarf?" Through more heaving, "I'm multitasking! I'm prepping for today's blog entry!" This conversation went back and forth and stupidly, "I've never lost a scarf" came out of my mouth a bit too soon, for apparently I have. It took me searching old photos to believe the scarf once did belong to me. *Today's Fun Fact: I often go into stores, find something I love but don't buy it, and months later I'll look for it and will be utterly convinced it's lost when in actuality, I never purchased it.* This has happened more times than I care to admit; however, this scarf was actually purchased and worn several times. Nevertheless, the scarf originally in mind will not be featured in today's look-a-like, but a substitute instead.
My friends texted me earlier to kindly remind me of "20 cent wings night" for tonight, so I decided to recreate a casual outfit for the evening.

*Please note that for my splurge items, they're very far and few between. If I find something I know will be a staple to a wardrobe, I'll splurge. Living in New England, a pair of skinny jeans and boots are staples to any wardrobe. Skinny jeans are perfect for tucking inside boots. Also, these boots come with a removable sweater piece, so I can wear them any time of year. In fact, they were worn at this past year's Countryfest with a tank top and jean shorts. Splurges aren't always a bad thing. :)
